WITCHING

The previous two chapters presented the concept of virtual channels:
what a virtual channel is and how it is built. This chapter discusses how
ATM data travels, or is switched, over a virtual channel.

This chapter provides basic concepts and information about:

Traffic Statistics

ATM Switching

ATM switching is performed at the ATM layer through virtual channels.
Individual cells are switched over the channel through the network, based
on the cell header.
