1 Log out of Windows and turn the computer off.
2 Connect the PC Card to the network as shown in Figure 1 (see the back
inside cover of this guide).
3 Insert the PC Card into the PC Card slot. Push carefully until the card
seats firmly.
4 Turn your computer on.
5 Insert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. When the auto-install
feature runs, select
Install PC Card . If auto-start is disabled on your
computer, click Start>Run and type D:\SETUP.EXE (where D: is your
CD-ROM drive).
6 Select the appropriate scenario from the table of contents and follow
the steps listed.
Installing 3Com Utilities and Documentation
1 Insert the Installation CD in the CD-ROM drive and wait for the
auto-start feature to start the installation.
2 From the 3Com PC Card Installer menu, select the function you want
to perform.
Check with your network administrator about whether to install other
utilities included with the LAN PC Card.
Viewing or Installing the User Guide
1 Insert the Installation CD in the CD-ROM drive and wait for the
auto-start feature to start the installation.
2 From the 3Com PC Card Installer menu, select
View User Guides
.
3 To view the user guide in HTML format, select View From CD:>On-Line
User Guide ; to view it in PDF format, select View from CD:>On-Line User
Guide (Printable) .
To install the user guide, select Install to Hard Drive:>User Guides .
