2. FUNCTIONS

3. STARTING THE DEVICE
Remove the protective film from the display prior to use.
Note: To avoid operating problems pay attention to polarity of alkaline batteries at inserting them (wrong polarity of
batteries may result in a permanent damage to the device).
Remove the plastic label on the back of base station.
The thermometer will show temperature in degrees Celsius once it is started.

PROGRAMMING FUNCTIONS
Selecting the
temperature display unit (°C/°F)
Press
to set the required temperature unit: degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit (°C/°F).
Setting the time
•
Press and hold
for 3-4 seconds, the hour digits will start flashing on the display.
•
Press
or
to set the hour.
•
Press
the minute digits will start flashing on the display.
•
Press
or
to set the minute.
•
Press
to return to the normal display mode.
Minimum and maximum temperature
The minimum (lo) and maximum (hi) values of the external or internal temperature are permanently visible on the screen.
The values are displayed
in the lower part of the screen.
If the main part of the screen is set to internal temperature (IN), the “lo” and “hi” indications apply to this value.
Similarly

if external temperature (OUT) is set in the main part of the screen

the “lo” and “hi” indications apply to this
value.
Cancelling the stored values

In temperature mode, long pressing “
“button for 3 seconds to clear the Hi./Lo. records.
Display settings

The user may select which value: outside (OUT) or internal (IN) temperature, is to be shown as the main element
of the display. In order to do so, press

To switch between displaying of minimum and maximum values, permanently visible on the screen
,
and the
clock, press and hold
for 3 seconds.
Temperature change tendencies
•
The device detects and displays the current temperature every 30 seconds.
•
If the temperature did not change within 30 seconds or increased by at least 1
o
C, the display
will show an
upwards arrow
.
•
If the temperature decreased by at least 1
o
C, the display will show a downwards arrow
.
•
If the temperature did not change within an hour, the arrows will disappear from the screen.
Black Ice alert
•
If the outside temperature is between -
3°C and 1°C (26.6°F and 33.8°F), the
symbol, black ice alert,
will
begin flashing
on the screen.
•
The
symbol will disappear when the station is outside the range of -
3°C and 1°C (26.6°F and 33.8°F).
