2. Safety Instructions

All user modifications are strictly forbidden and any damage caused by user modifications or by disregard of the
guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty. Take the
VMS8
to your dealer if it needs to be repaired.

Protect the device against extreme temperatures, dust and moisture. Do not use it immediately after it has been
exposed to changes in temperature. Leave it switched off until it has reached the ambient temperature.
•
Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
•
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
•
Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
3. Connections & Use
The
VMS8
is equipped with 8 standard BNC video inputs and 1 BNC video output.
On the front panel are located, from left to right, an ON/OFF switch, 8 channel switches and a rotary time button.
The channel switches have 3 positions: when all switches are set to AUTO, the device displays all channels one by
one, each channel remaining on the screen for the time set by the rotary button. The LEDs above the channel
switches indicate what channel is being displayed. If a channel is set to BYPASS, that channel is skipped in the
sequence. If a channel is set to HOME, only that channel is displayed full time. If several channels are set to HOME,
the chronologically last switched channel is displayed.
