The MPA-100A provides the user a means to connect a modem 
to most telephone lines. Simply install it between the base of 
the telephone and the handset. 

Can be used with virtually any telephone having a modular 
handset. 

Can be connected to single line, multi-line, PBX, and most 
digital systems. 

Can be used with any laptop or desk top computer having a 
data/fax modem installed. 

Compatible with most speed modems with a maximum data 
transfer rate up to 33.6 kbps.* 

Perfect for use at home, in the office or when traveling. 

Records all telephone calls automatically when used with a 
voice operated tape recorder. 

Adjustable sensitivity control sets the signal level between 
the telephone and the modem for optimum performance. 

Uses UL listed 120VAC to 18VDC@100mA, center positive 
Class 2 type power adapter (included), or two 9 volt alkaline 
type batteries (not included). 

Battery test button with indicator provided for checking 
batteries. 

Actual data transfer rate will vary depending on telephone 
quality and telephone line conditions.

Please read this instruction manual carefully.

13. Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity 

of the leak.
