Installation

Draining the Hydraulic
Reservoir
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting
units, set the parking brake, turn the engine off and
remove the key from the ignition switch
2. Drain the hydraulic oil from the reservoir into a large
clean container. Refer to the Operator’s Manual for
the draining procedure.
Important:
Take care not to contaminate oil if
you are going to reuse it. A very small amount
of dirt or debris can severely damage hydraulic
system.

Installing the Hoses
Parts needed for this procedure:

Procedure
1. Disconnect and remove the (2) hydraulic hoses
secured to the rear wheel motor fittings and the
bulkhead fittings (Figure 1).
2. Loosely install the shorter hydraulic hose (119–3557)
to the pump hose assembly (lower bulkhead) and to
the upper wheel motor fitting (Figure 1).

Note:
Before installing any hydraulic fittings or
hoses, make sure the correct O-rings are in position
and lubricated with hydraulic oil.
3. Loosely install the longer hydraulic hose (119–3558)
to the hydraulic hard line (upper bulkhead) and to
the bottom wheel motor fitting (Figure 1).
4. Adjust the hoses and fittings so the hoses are not
twisted or kinked. Make sure they are positioned as
shown in Figure 1.
Note:
The hoses must not contact the tire or the
rim.

Completing the Installation
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Turn the steering fork fully side to side to check for
proper hose flex and position. With the steering
wheel in full right turn, it may be necessary to rotate
