the risk of fire, electric shock, personal injury and material

This unit can be dangerous! Careless or

 The cutting blades can cut you. Keep hands 

and feet away from the blades and the cutting area. 
Retain this manual for future reference and reread it at the start 

of each trimming season.

•  Avoid accidental starting.
•  When the tool is not in use, keep it away from other metal 

objects.

Before operating the tool, read the entire manual carefully 

and make sure you know how to switch the tool OFF in an 

emergency.

Work Area Safety

1.  Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark 

areas invite accidents.

2.  Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, 

such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or 

dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust 

or fumes.

3.  Keep bystanders and children away. 

All bystanders, 

including children and pets, should be kept a safe 

distance away from the work area.

4.  Avoid dangerous environment. 

Don't use the appliance 

in wet or damp location.

WARNING! 

Do not operate near electrical power 

lines. The unit has not been designed to provide protection 

from electric shock in the event of contact with overhead 

electric lines. Consult local regulations for safe distances from 

overhead electric power lines and ensure that the operating 

position is safe and secure before operating as a pole pruner.

  Avoid body contact with the earthed or grounded 

surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, rangers and 

refrigerators.

 If the body is earthed or grounded, the risk 

of electric shock will increase. 

2.  Do not expose the power tool to rainy or wet 

conditions. A power tool contacting with water will 

increase the risk of electric shock.

Recharge only with the charger specified by the 

manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of 

battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with 

another battery pack.

2. 

Use appliances only with specifically designated battery

 

packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of 

injury and fire.

3.  When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from 

other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, 

screws or other small metal objects that can make a 

connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the 

battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

4.  Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from 

the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, 

flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek 

medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause 

irritation or burns. 

5.  Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged 

or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit 

unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of 

injury.

6. 

Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or 

excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature 

above 104°F (40.5°C) may cause explosion.
