Note:
When magnets are properly cared for,
they are safe to use and can last a
lifetime. However, the following
guidelines should be followed while
using these magnets:
1)
Take care not to set magnets near
computers, colour monitors,
television sets, floppy discs,
video/audio tape and other
electronic equipment;
2)
Magnets can pose risk to
electronics and magnetic storage
media e.g. credit cards when
placed in close proximity;
3)
Magnets may interfere with the
operation of pacemakers, magnetic
valves, etc.
4)
Keep magnets away from reach of
children. If swallowed, consult your
physician.

Batteries must not be swallowed.

Remove the batteries when the
instrument is not in use over a

showering/bathing and when
using hairspray
•
coming into contact with strong
magnetic fields (e.g. MRI scanners)
•
undergoing an X-ray examination

™
for REFLEX e2e systems
The following section applies to
binaural fittings only.
Unique to your REFLEX DP hearing
system is the e2e (ear-to-ear) wireless
™
technology. The wireless functionality:
• automatically adjusts the system to
change both hearing instruments
simultaneously to adapt to different
listening situations.
• provides synchronisation of the
settings in the system. If you change
the volume or program on one
instrument, the other is
automatically changed.
Your hearing instrument specialist can
activate the wireless functionality of
your hearing system.

The performance of the e2e wireless
could be affected by electro-magnetic
interference, such as computer
monitor or halogen lamp systems
controlled by a switching power
supply. Move away from the source
of interference if you experience
difficulty.

Automatic telephone program
With AutoPhone functionality, your
REFLEX DP will automatically switch to
the telephone program when you
hold a hearing instrument-compatible
telephone handset near to your
REFLEX DP. When you are finished
speaking on the phone and you move
the telephone handset away from the
hearing instrument, it will
automatically return to the previously
used hearing program.
You can also select the telephone
program manually by using the
program push button.
Your NHS Audiologist will program
your hearing system to your individual
requirements.
