IN CASE OF DIFFICULTY

Symptom

Cause and Remedy

No power

The Unit is
turned off or
battery needs
recharging

It does not

The DIP Switches

activate when

may be incorrectly

the base unit

set. See "Channel

is triggered

Setting". Or, it may
be out of range.

The Alertmaster Notification System uses
radio signals to communicate between the
console unit and all its accessories. For the
Personal Signaler to activate, they all have
to be on the same "channel."  A "DIP
Switch" is used for channel selection.

Your system and all the accessories have
been preset in the factory to a standard
channel setting.  Under normal operating
conditions,

there is no adjustment

necessary

.

If your system encounters interference and
repeatedly activates by itself for no obvious
reason, maybe it’s being triggered by a
system nearby.

Change channel switch settings on all
components.

1. Unplug AC cord and locate DIP Switch

on the underside of the Alertmaster
base unit.

2. Slide open the battery compartment and

locate DIP Switch inside of the AM-PX/
AM-PXB.

3. Use a pen to change the DIP Switches to

a new matching setting.

4. Change the switch settings on each of

your other accessories (doorbell Remote

Receiver, etc.) to match the new switch
setting in the base unit. All settings must
be identical for the system to work. Switch
for AM-6000 is on the bottom, AM-7000
is on the back.
