3.1. Fit the handle (17) onto the lever tube (16) and retain with screw (1) and nut (2). Note that the ridge in the bore of the handle engages
with the slot in the lever tube.
3.2. Unscrew lever tube retaining screw (9). Fit the lever tube (16) into the tipping gear (43) with the slot to the rear. Retighten the retaining
screw, ensuring that it fits correctly into the slot.
3.3. Before using the jack for the first time, purge hydraulic circuit in order to eliminate any air in the system. To do so, pull the handle
upward and turn it anticlockwise to open the release valve. Hold the handle in the open position and pump it up and down 7 or 8 times.
To close the hydraulic valve turn the handle clockwise and push the handle back to its normal operating position.
3.4. Place a few drops of hydraulic jack oil on pump piston and pump handle several times to distribute the oil. Thoroughly lubricate all moving parts.

Ensure the jack is in sound condition and good working order. Take action for immediate repair or replacement of damaged parts.
Use genuine parts only. The use of improper parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.

Locate the jack in a suitable, well lit work area.

Keep work area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials.

Use jack on level and solid ground, preferably concrete.

Ensure all non-essential persons keep a safe distance whilst the jack is in use.

WARNING! Before lifting ensure Section 1 safety instructions are strictly followed.
4.1.1. Prepare vehicle as described in safety instructions, ensuring that the ground on which jack is to stand is level and solid (not tarmacadam).
4.1.2. Position the jack saddle under the vehicle manufacturers recommended lifting point (see vehicle handbook).
4.2. Jacking
4.2.1. Ensure that the release valve is closed (i.e. the handle is pushed down and turned fully clockwise). Pump the handle up and down, using
maximum strokes, until the vehicle reaches the required working height.
