AMX28 Immobilizer Owner’s Manual

Your AMX28 Immobilizer includes two coded transponder tags. Keep only
one coded tag on your key chain at a time
. The second coded tag can be used
as a spare, or for a second driver with their own set of keys.  In order to start
your vehicle, a coded tag must be attached to the key chain.
Up to five Prime transponder tags can be added to your AMX28 Immobilizer.

Operating Your AMX28 Immobilizer

Activation
1. Turn the ignition key  to the "OFF" position and remove the keys. The LED

Status Indicator will illuminate solid red.

2. When you open the driver door, the LED will begin to flash slowly to

indicate the Immobilizer is armed.

3. If you do not immediately open the driver door, after 20 seconds, the LED

will begin to flash slowly to indicate the Immobilizer is armed. While armed,
the vehicle cannot be started without the coded tag.

Deactivation
1. With the coded tag on your key chain, turn the ignition key to the "ON"

position.

2. The LED will turn off and the engine can now be started.

NOTE: If the LED changes to a rapid flash and the engine will not start,
hold the coded tag near the ignition switch to disarm the system.

Valet Mode
To prevent an unauthorized person from entering programming mode and
possibly adding their own coded tag, you can put the AMX28 into Valet
Mode. In Valet Mode, a valet attendant or service personnel can start the
vehicle while you keep the coded tag in your possession.
To Turn On Valet Mode
1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position with the doors closed.
2. Open and close the driver door.
3. Turn the ignition key OFF and then ON three times (OFF, ON,  OFF, ON,

OFF, ON). The LED will flash at a medium rate to indicate the AMX28 is in
Valet Mode.

4. Remove the coded tag from your key chain.
