the curl.

 14

Let your hair cool down. Do not comb or brush it before it has cooled down,

appliance. If you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, contact

the Customer Care Centre in your country.

Problem

Possible cause

Solution

The appliance

does not work.

There is a power failure or the

socket to which the appliance is

connected is not live.

Check if the power supply works. If

it does, plug in another appliance to

check whether the socket is live.

You have not switched on the

appliance.

Set the on/off slide to ‘I’ to switch on

the appliance.

The appliance switched off

automatically after having been on

for 1 hour.

Set the on/off slide to ‘0’ and then to

‘I’ again to switch the appliance off

and on again.

The appliance is not suitable

for the voltage to which it is

connected.

Make sure that the voltage indicated

on the appliance corresponds to the

local mains voltage.

The mains cord of the appliance

is damaged.

If the mains cord is damaged, you

must have it replaced by Philips, a

service centre authorised by Philips

or similarly qualified persons in order

to avoid a hazard.

The

temperature

cannot be set.

You have activated the

temperature lock.

Press and hold the temperature

decrease/lock button for a few

seconds until the lock symbol

disappears from the display.

Smoke escapes

when I open

the clip.

In some climates and

surroundings, the air contains

more moisture than in others. The

heat of the curler causes moisture

that is naturally present in

the surrounding air to evaporate.

This is normal and harmless.
