Prolonging the life of your tent

Pole: Aluminium  Tent: Polyester

Materials:

Select a sheltered level campsite free from sticks, rocks and roots. Make sure it is well drained. Avoid large or old overhead branches

and do not camp at the base of a cliff.

Unpack and separate the contents of the carry bag.
Assemble the pole. Layout the tent facing the desired direction.

Peg out the inner tent firm but not tight using the 6 peg down points, checking the floor is of an even tension without wrinkles.

Inserting the pole tip with no spigot into the open end of the pole sleeve. Slide the pole through the pole sleeve until the pole is

secured into the pole pocket at the closed end of the pole sleeve. Position the spigot pole end into the eyelet on the webbing strap

attached to the tent floor. The inner tent will stand up during this process.
Now select the fly and open out flat and align correctly with the inner tent. Note that there are Velcro® tabs on the inside of the fly.

Place the fly over the inner tent. Inside the fly wrap the Velcro® tabs around the poles and press the tabs together. Connect the buckle

clips on the fly to the buckle sockets on the inner tent.
Peg out all the remaining anchor points including the vestibule and all the guy ropes firmly for weatherproof security.

Lay out the Fly in a roughly rectangular shape.
Fold it towards the centre along the long axis until the width of the folded rectangle is equal to length to the folded poles in their

carry bag.
Repeat step 2 for the inner tent.

Place the folded fly on top of the folded inner tent and using the poles in their carry bag as a rolling pin, roll up the tent and fly

around the poles.

Pack into carry bag. It may be necessary to repeat step 4 to remove enough air to easily fit into carry bag.

Lightweight tents are portable, temporary shelters avoid leaving in the sun for prolonged periods.

Inspect your camp site and clear any objects that could damage your tent floor.

Always air your tent until it is totally dry after your trip. Never pack it away when damp or dirty.

Use mild soap and water to clean tent and fly.  After beach use or wet conditions treat all zips, poles and pegs with silicon spray.
