STEP 1:
PRODUCT REGISTRATION FORM
Please complete the enclosed Product
Registration Form and return it today
by mail, or register online by going to:
OttLite.com/warranty.
WARNING: To prevent electric shock,
make sure the lamp is not plugged in
until all assembly steps are complete.
STEP 2: LAMP ASSEMBLY
1. Make sure the lamp is not plugged
into an electrical socket.
2. Unpack all lamp parts and lay out on
the floor with the base
(A) lying flat.
3. Thread pole
(B) to base (A) by hand,
turning clockwise until tight.
4. Thread arm
(L) to pole (B).
5. If installed, remove socket ring
(C)
from socket assembly
(F).
6. Place shade
(E) on socket assembly
(F).
7. Secure shade
(E) in place by thread-
ing socket ring
(C) onto socket
assembly
(F) and firmly tighten by
hand.
8. Install bulb
(K) following BULB
INSERTION/REPLACEMENT
instructions.
9. Plug the lamp into a standard 120V
outlet.
10. Adjust shade height and angle by
turning thumb levers
(H, J) coun-
terclockwise to loosen, reposition
shade then turn thumb levers
(H, J)
clockwise to tighten.
11. Turn lamp on or off by rotating the
switch
(G) located on the socket
clockwise.
STEP 3:
BULB INSERTION/REPLACEMENT
1. Make sure the lamp is not plugged
into an electrical socket.
2. If the lamp has been in use, allow
it to cool approximately 5 minutes
before proceeding.
3. To install a bulb
(K) in the socket,
grasp the bulb firmly in your hand
and push the bulb straight into the
socket by applying pressure to the
base of bulb, until it “snaps” into
place. Do not apply pressure to the
glass end of the bulb.
4. To remove a bulb
(K) already
installed in the lamp, grasp it firmly
in your hand and pull it straight out
of the socket.
Do not twist or turn
the bulb while removing it from the
socket.
5. Turn lamp on or off by rotating the
switch
(G), located on the socket,
clockwise.
Please note that in operation, OttLite
®
bulbs are not dimmable.

products voids the warranty and may
result in damage to the lighting sys-
