1. Remove the two screws to slide off the upper cover.

4. Slide the upper cover back and secure the cover 

    with the two screws.

2. Remove the filler bracket and install 

3. Ensure that the card is fully seated in the slot and all cards

    are flush with the alignment bar.

    Optimod 1101E or 1211E. 

Note: Keep this bracket in case you need to remove the

expansion card. Filler brackets must be installed over empty

expansion card slots to maintain FCC certification.

The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and 

aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the OptiEXP.

7. The installation is complete.

    You are now able to turn on the computer power.

5. Attach the AC Power Cord

Power ON/OFF is controlled by the 

          OptiEXP cable adapter card (82212.008.01.1)

The x8 PCIe Expansion Host Card MUST be installed in a x8 or x16 compliant PCIe slot in the host computer.

Not all physical x8 or x16 PCIe slots are electrical x8 or x16. Some are only x4 electrical. Refer to the host system documentation for these details.
