ADDENDUM TO THE
DL-WINDOWS v3.5.3
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS
Due to recent changes in the Microsoft Installation Installer, update pre-
vious versions of DL-Windows to version 3.5.3 as follows:
A. INSTALL DL-WINDOWS v3.5.3
1. Insert the DL-Windows 3.5.3 installation disk into your CD-ROM
drive. Follow the Installation Wizard instructions; when installation
is complete, do NOT remove the installation disk from the drive.
2. Double-click the DL-Windows desktop icon
while the DL-Windows
disk is in the drive
. The installation software will take the extra
steps necessary to fully update the previous version of DL-
Windows to version 3.5.3.
3. At the end of the installation, DL-Windows will run.
4. If
XP Styles
are enabled, a "Please Turn Off XP Styles" popup mes-
sage will appear. Click
Yes
for instructions to turn off XP Styles.
5. A DL-Windows Log In screen opens. Press
Enter
.
Note:
Pre-existing Accounts will not be loaded; therefore exit DL-
Windows and run the Import Utility as described below.
B. RUN THE IMPORT UTILITY
1. Click
Start
,
Programs
,
DL-Windows
,
Import Utility
.
2. Click
OK
to the
Welcome to DL-Windows Import Utility
... popup.
3. Click
Open
. The
Locate your AL3000/AcctList File
dialog
opens.
4. Click the
Files of Type
drop down list, select
Old DL-Windows
Index
.
5. Click the file
AL3000.MDB
.
6. Click
Open
.
7. Click
Update
.
8. Click
Yes
to confirm the update.
9. Click
OK
to the
Import Utility
message.
10.Click
OK
to the
Update Successful
message. You can now close
the
Import Utility
and run the DL-Windows software program.
