OPERATION:
Install two lithium CR123 batteries with the “+” end facing the head end of the
flashlight. Backwards installation can damage the LED and electronics. Rotate the head to focus the
beam.
“Momentary”
mode: Press tail cap switch button and hold it down; light remains on only until
button is released.
“Full Power”
mode: Quickly press tail cap switch twice (“2 Quick Clicks”); light
remains on at full power until turned off with one Quick Click.
“PowerSave”
mode: Press switch with
3 Quick Clicks; light will operate at a lower, battery-life-extending power level until turned off with one
Quick Click.
To attach the pocket clip (Fig.1):
Remove the tail cap. Using the supplied 2.5 mm hex
wrench, be sure the cam lock on the pocket clip is turned to its counterclockwise stop. Slip the pocket
clip onto the tail cap end of the barrel and move it down until it stops. Reinstall the tail cap. Using the
hex wrench, turn the cam lock clockwise until it stops (about 180 degrees). The pocket clip is now
locked in place on the barrel.
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE:
If flashlight is used less than once a month, remove the batteries
between uses. Lubricate all threads and rubber O-rings with petroleum jelly twice yearly. Inspect
flashlight monthly and carefully remove any damaged batteries and clean any corrosion.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If flashlight does not turn on or stay on - 1. Replace the batteries. If the problem
persists, then 2. Check the tail cap. The metal surfaces contacting the barrel, tail cap and rear battery
should be clean, shiny and free of corrosion or other obstruction. Clean as needed. 3. If the flashlight
still does not operate properly, see the tips at www.maglite.com/support/overview. If this does not
resolve the problem, see the “How and When to Make a Warranty Claim” section below.

CR123 batteries provide very high energy but require precautions TO AVOID RISKS OF
FIRE AND EXPLOSION: *Never try to recharge CR123 batteries – when depleted, replace. *Never mix
old with new CR123 batteries and never mix brands -- always replace the whole set at once, using
fresh, new CR123 batteries of the same brand. *Always choose reputable brands for replacement
batteries, such as Duracell® and Panasonic®. • AVOID EXPOSING BATTERIES TO FIRE OR EXCESSIVE
HEAT, as this may cause leakage or explosion. • To AVOID RISK OF INJURY TO EYES OR SKIN, AVOID
CONTACT WITH ANY MATERIAL LEAKED FROM A BATTERY. To AVOID RISK OF EYE INJURY, LOOK
AWAY IMMEDIATELY IF BEAM IS SHONE DIRECTLY INTO YOUR EYES. • THIS FLASHLIGHT IS NOT
