INSTRUCTIONS.
1. DESCRIPTION:
Compatible with all DSM2/DSMX transmitters.
Primarily used with the RCS TX-9, 7 channel Tx handpiece.
Receiver for Live Steam locos. Drives servos.
Suitable for use with RCS ADVANCED ESC’s such as OMEGA-3v4/5/6/7 & VIPER-10-15/24.
N.B. RX battery pack can be connected to any vacant servo terminal.
If all terminals are being used to drive servos, use a “Y” cable for battery input on any
channel except #7/Bind. Use another “Y” cable for the bind plug if Ch # 7 is also to be used.
2. BINDING.
Always ensure the servos are approximately in the middle setting before binding.
There are two LED’s on the RX. One on the top next to the servo pins and one underneath.
1. Connect battery to any servo pins
OTHER THAN
the Channel # 7/bind terminal.
2. Insert binding plug in BIND connection pins. (Or “Y” cable). See diagram on page # 2.
3. Turn battery pack ON. RX LED’s on top and bottom will both flash rapidly.
4. Keep TX handpiece
at least one metre
away from the RX or signal swamping can occur.
5. Press and hold bind button on TX and Press TX ON button. Hold until bottom RX LED
flashes slowly three times and then goes OFF.
6. After some 5 – 10 seconds the top RX LED will start flashing more slowly then go solid ON.
Bottom LED may be flashing during operation.
7. Binding is complete.
8. Remove binding plug before operation.
9. Re-linking after switch off & on again, is automatic. Re-binding is not needed.
If servos are not centralised after binding or linking it means the battery voltage is too low.
Turn system OFF and replace or re-charge the batteries. Leave power to RX OFF, manually
centralise the servos and start again.
