FAQ’s

PowerClean Cordless Pond Cleaner

Q. When I place the Cordless Pond Cleaner in my pond and press on the trigger, no water is pumping out. What am I

doing wrong?

A. The PowerClean Cordless Pond Cleaner must be primed before use in order to function. To prime, hold the pond cleaner

horizontally over the pond with the brush nozzle completely submersed. To start the unit, push forward on the safety switch and

then press on the trigger. A) The unit may take up to 15 seconds of operation to purge air and fill the hosing. Float the hose and

debris bag in the pond while priming to reduce head height or lower the exit pipe to ground level if possible. B) The battery may be

discharged - change batteries or re-charge before trying again. C) There may be a blockage in the unit or hose. Remove battery

and check for blockage.

Q. My blades have jammed - I think there’s a pebble or piece of wood stuck inside. What should I do?

A. Before conducting any maintenance on your Cordless Pond Cleaner, always ensure the battery is removed. lf the brush

attachment needs to be removed to access the blockage, do so with care. Do not grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting

edges when picking up or holding the unit. Once the blades can be accessed, visually inspect and if need be carefully remove the

item causing the blockage and ensure no damage was done to the blades. If you suspect that the blades have been damaged,

contact your local Laguna retailer to arrange for service. Re-install the brush attachment, securing with the two screws provided.

Do not use the unit without brush nozzle secured.

Q. When my battery is charging, how will I know when it is fully charged?

A. When the battery is placed in the charger, the LED light on the plug will be red. Once the battery is fully charged, the light will

turn to green.

Q. Should I vacuum my entire pond in one session?

A. No. The Cordless Pond Cleaner works best when you spread out the job over a few days, working on a section at a time. This

will allow the floating fine dirt and debris to settle, making removal easier.

Q. Once fully charged, how long will my battery run?

A. Once fully charged, the Laguna rechargeable lithium battery will run for up to 30 minutes. Replacement batteries can be

purchased to have a fully charged battery available at all times. Remember; when vacuuming your pond it is best to spread it out

over several days . This allows the fine debris that is distributed time to settle back down.

Q. How long docs it take to charge the battery from flat to full?

A. Approximately 4 hours.

Q. How much will it cost me to charge my battery each time?

A. The charger uses less power then the average household light bulb. The North American model uses approximately 36W while

the European model uses approximately 40W. Charging the battery will cost you just a few cents/pence.

Q. My pond is 4 feet deep and I would like to reach the bottom. How to I extend the unit?

A. The Cordless Pond Cleaner can be extended to reach up to 92.5” (235 cm) . To extend, simply loosen the two(2) collet

locking rings on the extendible handle as indicated on the unit. (If uncertain about this operation, please consult your Installation

instructions). Extend the handle to the desired length and then tighten both locking rings so that the

handle locks in place.

Q. My pond is under a lot of trees which cause large debris, such as branches and seed pods to fall into my pond. I’d

rather operate this unit without the chopping blades. Is this possible?

A. We do not recommend using the Cordless Pond Cleaner without the blades. The unit was designed to handle only small debris

(under 10 mm in size). We suggest the pond be skimmed using a pond net of any large debris before using the Cordless Pond

Cleaner to prevent its clogging.

Q. What is the purpose of the shoulder strap and how do I put it on?

A. The purpose of the shoulder strap is to help alleviate the weight of the unit, during longer cleaning sessions. See the installation

instructions for how, to assemble and clip on the shoulder strap.
