ON/OFF button:

 Short press when unit is off, turns unit on. The displayed value is based on 

the position of the blade. Short press when unit is on, turns unit off. Five minutes of inactivity 

automatically turns unit off.  

ZERO button:

 Short press zeros the display regardless of the position of the blade. Measured 

angles from this point on are referenced to the displayed value previous to zeroing. For example, 

if the zero button was pressed while the blade was set to 30°, measured angles after zeroing are 

now referenced to 30°. To rezero the display back to true zero, position the blade as shown, then 

press zero button.
1.  Position blade as shown. 

2.  Press ZERO button to rezero the display.

HOLD/FLIP button:

 Short press holds or releases currently displayed value. When value is held, 

“H” is displayed in upper left hand corner of display. When held value is released, “H” in upper left 

hand corner of display goes off and display reverts to currently measured value. Press and hold 

for 3 seconds flips the display 180°.

Locking Knob:

 Rotate counterclockwise to loosen blade, allowing for adjustment to any angle. 

Rotate clockwise to set desired angle.

REV button:

 Short press gives you the reverse (miter) angle, with reference to 180°. For example, 

pressing REV button while the blade is positioned at 45° converts the displayed value from 45° to 

135° (180.0° - 45.0° = 135.0°). Pressing the button a second time, toggles the display between the 

two values. Note “REV” is also shown on display when this feature is activated.

1.  Open battery compartment by pulling on battery holder tab.

2. Remove battery holder and install 3V CR2032 lithium battery 

in holder, negative side up.

3. Re-install battery holder, making sure it is fully closed.

INSERTING BATTERIES

Note: Unit comes with battery installed. For initial use, 

remove protective tab from battery compartment.
