FAQ
Q: Is the SolRX waterproof?
A: The SolRX charging panel is weather and water
resistant, and can tolerate light moisture and spills.
Do not immerse or allow to sit in snow or rain.
Q: What types of devices will this charge?
A: With a 5v output, SolRX will charge most cell
phones, tablets, action cams, portable speakers,
MP3 players and most other small electronics with
USB charging.
Q: How long does it take to charge my phone?
A: Charging time will vary depending on your device
and the battery capacity. The amount of sunlight
will also impact charging time. In general, it should
take approximately the same amount of time to
charge your device as it would if you plugged it into
a standard powered 2 amp charger.
Q: Can I charge inside with the panel behind a
window?
A: Yes! Keep in mind that some windows have been
tinted with film that blocks infrared/UV light. In those
cases, charging time will increase.
Q: Can I charge my device on a cloudy day?
A: Yes, though charging efficiency will be lower and
total charging time will increase.
Q: Can I charge using indoor lighting?
A: No. Indoor lighting does not provide the same
type of energy that SolRX can use to generate
power.
Q: My device only requires 1 amp. Will this 2
amp charger damage it?
A: No. Your device will only input the max amperage
level that it needs to charge.
Q: My Apple® device started charging, then
said “not charging” or “charging not supported
by this accessory”. Is there a problem with this
charger?
A: The solar panel is likely working, but your device
is confused by the signal. Unplug your device and
plug it back in and it will likely start charging. You
may have to do this several times before it charges
correctly. Also, if you see this error, make sure your
phone is not locked when you start charging.
