of the device’s features and usage protocols. We hope you find this

Understand Indications:

- When display reads “Lo” and device powers off, replace batteries.
- Display will read “Err” when a weight greater than 5kg is applied. 
Remove heavy object to avoid destroying device.
- If display reads “Unst”, check that the object being weighed is stable 
and properly placed on weighing platform.
Changing the Batteries:
- Locate Battery Compartment Door (5) on back of unit.
- Depress release tab and remove door.
- Use fingernail and/or flat screwdriver to gently remove spent batteries.
- Insert fresh batteries in correct orientation and close door until it clicks

operation & usage

Basics:

- Place scale on flat, stable surface.
- Press Power/Tare Button (4) and allow scale to enter weighing mode.
- Select preferred Weight Unit by repeatedly pressing Unit Button (3) 

until correct unit is displayed.
- Place object on center of weighing platform. Wait until numbers stabilize 
to record proper weight reading.
- To turn scale off, remove all objects from weighing platform and wait for 
reading to go down to “0”. Then press Power/Tare Button (4).

Tare Function:

- When using a container, plate, etc. to weigh another object, place the 
empty container/plate on scale first. Display will show weight of empty 
container/plate.
- Press Power/Tare Button (4) to bring the weight reading to “0”, so that 
you may get an accurate reading of the object(s) you will place within the
container/plate.
- Proceed to place the object(s) you are weighing into the container/plate.
- The weight reading will now be accurate.
- To reset tare function, remove all objects from weighing platform and 
press the Power/Tare Button (4). Reading will return to “0”.
Note: Whenever the display reads “0”, pressing the Power/Tare Button (4)
will turn the scale off. Be mindful of this when the tare function is on.
