Installation of the device 

General information: 
 

-  When mounting the device basis make sure the displays of the aspirating smoke detection system are clearly visible. 
-  The air outlet of the device basis must not be blocked (the distance between the air outlet and adjacent objects (e.g. wall) is to be at least 10 cm). 
-  The device basis can be mounted with the aspiration pointing upwards or downwards. The connection for the air sampling pipe is marked with a 

“V” (see fig. A). If the aspiration comes from downwards, make sure no impurities enter the air outlet which then points upwards.  

 

Procedure: 
 

1.  First, clearly mark the fixing points for mounting the device basis at its position. If necessary, use the provided drilling jig.  
2.  Fix the device basis by means of four screws (max. 

 of 4mm) safe to the underground. Make sure the device is not fixed under mechanical 

tension and the screws are not tightened too much.
