INSTALLATION

1.   Be sure that hood is clean and dry inside and out. Installation must be done above 10° Celsius or 50° Fahrenheit for the tape to develop

best adhesion.

2.   Open the hood and ‘dry’ fit the deflector on it.  Do not remove the protective backing from the adhesive tape mounted on the deflector

yet. Center the deflector on the hood, making sure that the clips at the wings of the deflector are resting on top of the hood.

3.   Using tape, chalk or a grease pencil, make reference marks on the underside of the hood to mark the tab and clip locations for final

installation.

4.   Install the anti-abrasion film pad over the edge of the hood at the locations where the ‘E’ clips will fit on the hood. Be sure to wrap the

pads over the edge to cover approx ½" underneath.

5.   Slide the deflector aside and clean all the areas on the underside of hood where the adhesive tape will contact the hood with the

alcohol-wiping pad provided.

6.   Remove the protective backing from the adhesive tape. Be careful to keep the tape from touching the underside of the hood, until the

deflector is centered and the ‘E’ clips are mounted. Using the reference marks established in step 3¸ push the ‘E’ clips over the hood
edge onto the anti-abrasion pads installed in step 4.

7.   Again, make sure that the deflector is centered on the hood and the reference marks then firmly press the double-sided tape into the

underside of the hood.

8.   Install the metal retaining clips in the two oval holes location as detailed in Figure below. Be sure to install the C-322 clips so that the

retaining teeth are seated against the hood and not the deflector.

See Figure #1.

Be sure that the C-322 clips are fully seated.

9.   Attach the bumpons to the hood, under the flip, as shown below.

Attention: The bumpons must be installed on the hood not the

deflector!!!!

If the bumpons are installed on the deflector they will wear through the paint.

10.  On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust the hood bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.

It is imperative that the adhesive be allowed to set up for 24 hours before use.

Note: Do not pull on the deflector when opening or closing the hood.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Clean the deflector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only. Do not use chemicals or solvents.

Periodically check to make sure the bumpons are in place and the deflector is secure.

Avoid using automatic car washes.

Do not pull on the deflector when opening or closing the hood.
