Correct Loading Procedures

ƒ

Open door of machine and press “Load” on the inside keypad.  This will open the freezer door and move the
robot to the left rear corner so the machine is ready to be filled.

ƒ

Remove and refill bins one at a time.  This insures that each bin is returned to the proper location inside the
freezer.

ƒ

Open each bin, move existing product to the top and stock new product from the bottom up.

ƒ

Do not drop product into the bins.  This increases the possibility of bin errors.

ƒ

Products should be loaded so packaging flaps or seams are face down and do not come in contact with the
picker tip of the robot.

ƒ

All the products in a bin should be in the same direction (for bar items, make sure that the sticks face the back
of the freezer).

ƒ

Cones in tight wrappers should always have a wedge at the bottom of the bin and the cones should be alternated
from top to tip as they are loaded.

ƒ

Products should not have more than ½ inch of space left/right or front/back within the bin.  If there is more
space than this, Styrofoam spacers may need to be put inside the bin.

ƒ

The robot must be centered over the product within the bin. Adjust the bins if needed.

ƒ

When loading is complete, press “Close” on the inside keypad.  This tells the machine that it has been filled and
updates the inventory.

NOTE:  It may save time and reduce frost buildup if the freezer is opened and closed by hand after filling each bin.  The top of
the freezer lid can be used as a work area to fill bins.  Press the “Load” and “Close” buttons only once after the freezer has been
completely filled.  This tells the machine that it has been filled and updates inventory.

NOTE:  Product sales data can be accessed when the machine door is closed and locked by using the

Sales Pin Code that was

created for this machine ("Menu Item #10, "Sales Pin Code") .  Press the "#" key and then the " * " key while in "Please Insert
Money"

mode and type in the Sales Pin Code.  Press the "#" key to select the resettable sales meter and then use the " *

"  key

to scroll through each selection number and record the sales for each product since the last time the machine was filled.  This
allows the route driver to take an order and then to return to the machine with only the inventory that is required to fill the
machine.
