DURO DYNE SPOTWELDER STAND
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Refer to the accompanying parts list and assembly drawing
1.
Loosely attach the Front Panel #1 (the panel with a slot) to the inclined surface of the right
Side Panel #3 using 1/4 - 20 x 5/8’’ slotted truss head screws, split lock washers and hex nuts.
2.
Stand the unit up and loosely attach the Left Side Panel #4 to the Front Panel #1 using 1/4
- 20 x 5/8’’ slotted truss head screws, split lock washers, and hex nuts.
3.
Loosely attach the Rear Panel #2 to the previously assembled panels using 1/4 - 20 x 5/8’’
slotted truss head screws, split lock washers and hex nuts.
4.
Loosely attach the Stand Top #5 to the assembled panels (the slots in the Stand Top should
face toward the back of the assembled panels). Use 1/4 - 20 x 5/8’’ slotted truss head screws,
split lock washers, and nuts.
5.
Using a screwdriver and a 7/16” wrench, tighten all the bolts securely.
6.
Loosely attach the Foot Pedal Pivot Brackets #7 (with the 90° bend toward the inside) to the
Rear Panel with 1/4 - 20 x 5/8’’ slotted truss head screws, split lock washers and hex nuts.
7.
Slide the Foot Pedal Weldment #6 through the slot in the Front Panel and attach it to the
Foot Pedal Pivot Brackets using a 1/4 - 20 x 3/4’’ hex head bolt and nyloc nut. Tighten this
bolt snugly, but not tightly, and then tighten the Foot Pedal Pivot Bracket screws completely.
8.
Slip the Compression Spring #13 loop over the 10-32 Threaded Rod #12 and slip the Thread-
ed Rod through the holes in the front of the Side Panels. Secure the Threaded Rod with #10
split lock washers and 10-32 hex nuts.
9.
Slip the “S” Hook #14 through the forward hole in the Foot Pedal weldment and attach the
“S” Hook to the other end of the Compression Spring.
10. Attach the Pull Down Connecting Bar #8 (with the twisted end toward the top of the stand)
to the Foot Pedal Weldment with a 1/4 - 20 x 1” hex head bolt and nyloc nut. Place a 1/4’’ flat
washer between the Foot Pedal Weldment and the Pull Down Connecting Bar. This is a pivot
point, so do not over tighten the bolt.
11. Slip the Pull Down Yoke #9 through the slots in the Stand Top and attach it to the Pull Down
Connecting Bar with a 1/4 - 20 x 3/4’’ hex head bolt, split lock washer, and hex nut.
12. Attach the aluminum Spotwelder Handle #10 to the Pull Down Yoke with 1/4 - 20 x 5/8 slot-
ted truss head screws.
13. Center the Duro Dyne Spotwelder on the stand and secure it using the Spotwelder Clamps
#11 and 1/4 - 20 x 5/8’’ slotted truss head screws and 1/4’’ wing nuts.
14. To change the pull down length, select a different hole in the Pull Down Connecting Bar or
loosen the Spotwelder Clamps, slide the spotwelder forward or backward, and tighten the
Spotwelder Clamps again.
