Introduction
The Days Bariatric rollator is a multi-purpose rollator manufactured
from painted steel tubing with four solid tyre wheels. It
incorporates a rest seat, basket and locking brakes. This rollator
also has adjustable handles and can be folded flat for storage
or transportation.
First Assembly
1) Remove all packaging.
2) Fit cross bar (fig. 1-A) into front sockets on the frame (fig. 1-B)
and push fully down.
To secure the cross bar make sure the retaining spring buttons
(fig. 1-C) have located through the hole in both sockets.
Handle Adjustment
Remove the hand knob and bolt (fig. 1-D). Pull the handle to new
setting (there are five fixed settings at 25 mm intervals), re-fit and
tighten the knob and bolt ensuring that the head of the bolt is
inside the hexagonal hole.
Operation
The rollator is fitted with locking brakes. To apply the brakes pull
up on the brake handles (fig. 2). To lock the brakes push down on
both brake handles until they click into the locked position (fig. 3).
To release the brakes simply pull up on the brake handles until
they click.
Before using the rollator as a rest seat both brakes must be applied
and the frame pushed forward to check that it is not moving. The
brakes only lock the back wheels so the user must not expect the
frame to be completely immobile.
If the user finds the brakes hard to apply, the pressure can be
adjusted by reducing the tension in the spring above the brake
shoe (fig. 4). Hold the hexagonal nut and turn the knurled nut to
vary the brake pressure i.e. the distance between the shoe and the
tyre, when the brakes are off. It is a case of trial and error to suit
individual users’ grip strength.
WARNING! Brakes that are adjusted to give light pressure
will be less effective at preventing rear wheel movement
under load.
When using the rollator be aware that stability depends on all four
wheels being in contact with the flat surface. Care should be taken
when negotiating uneven ground, inclines, kerb etc. as stability will
inevitably be reduced.
Folding for Storage or Transportation
To fold the rollator for storage or transportation pull on the strap,
thus pulling the locking mechanism (fig. 5-A) up and allowing the
wheels to come together. Pushing down on the handles unfolds
the rollator.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The Days Bariatric rollator is designed for minimum maintenance.
It is manufactured from painted steel tubing and requires the
occasional wipe-over with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh
abrasive materials.
Daily, before use, check the effective operation of the brakes.
Check that the wheels turn and swivel freely and there is no debris
building around the axle. Periodically check that all screws, nuts
and bolts are securely fastened. Check moving parts for wear.
Warranty Information
All Days rollator are warranted for one year from the date of
purchase against faulty workmanship or materials. Please contact
your supplier/dealer should a fault occur.
The warranty does not extend to the consequential costs resulting
from fault clearance, in particular freight and travel costs, loss of
earnings, expenses, etc.

Introductie
De bariatrische loopwagen van Days is een multifunctionele loopwagen die
gemaakt is van geverfde stalen buizen en vier stevige wielen. De loopwagen
heeft een zitting, mandje en blokkeerremmen.
De loopwagen heeft verstelbare handgrepen en kan plat worden opgeklapt
voor opslag of transport.
Montage-instructies
1) Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal.
2) Steek de dwarsstang (afb. 1-A) in de holtes aan de voorkant van het
frame (afb. 1-B) en duw die volledig omlaag. De dwarsstang is pas
vergrendeld als de drukknoppen (afb. 1-C) uit de gaten in beide
buizen steken.
Instellen van de handgreep
Verwijder de draaiknop en de bout (afb. 1-D). Trek de handgreep naar de
nieuwe stand (er zijn vijf vaste hoogtes met een tussenruimte van 25 mm),
steek de draaiknop weer in het gat en draai de bout er stevig op. Controleer
of de kop van de bout in het zeshoekige gat zit.
Werking
De loopwagen is uitgerust met blokkeerremmen. Als u wilt remmen, trekt
u de remgrepen (afb. 2) omhoog. Om de remmen te vergrendelen duwt
u beide remgrepen omlaag tot u een “klik” hoort (afb. 3). Om de remmen
te ontgrendelen trekt u aan de remgrepen tot u een “klik” hoort. Voordat u
op de loopwagen gaat zitten, moeten beide remmen vergrendeld zijn en
moet u de loopwagen naar voren proberen te duwen om te controleren of
die echt niet rijdt. De remmen blokkeren alleen de achterwielen, dus de
gebruiker moet niet verwachten dat de loopwagen volledig stilstaat.
Als de gebruiker moeite heeft met remmen, kan de benodigde druk worden
aangepast door de spanning in de veer boven de remschoen (afb. 4) te
verminderen. Houd de zeskantige moer vast en draai aan de gekartelde
moer om de remdruk te wijzigen, d.w.z. de afstand tussen de remschoen
en de band als de remmen niet gebruikt worden. Het is een kwestie van
uitproberen om de gewenste knijpkracht voor een gebruiker te vinden.
WAARSCHUWING! – Remmen die zo zijn afgesteld dat lichte druk
volstaat, zijn minder goed in staat beweging van de achterwielen te
beperken als die belast worden.
Houd er bij het gebruik van de loopwagen rekening mee dat stabiliteit
afhangt van het feit of alle vier de wielen contact maken met een vlakke
ondergrond.
Pas op bij een oneffen ondergrond, hellingen, stoepranden, etc. omdat de
loopwagen dan onherroepelijk minder stabiel zal zijn.
Opklappen voor opslag of transport
Als u de loopwagen wilt opklappen voor opslag of transport trekt u aan de
stang, zodat het vergrendelmechanisme (afb. 5-A) omhoog gaat en de
wielen bij elkaar kunnen komen. Wanneer u de handgrepen omlaag duwt,
klapt de loopwagen open.
Schoonmaken & onderhoud
De bariatrische loopwagen van Days is zo ontworpen dat minimaal
onderhoud nodig is. De loopwagen is gemaakt van geverfde stalen buizen
en hoeft alleen af en toe met een zachte doek te worden schoongemaakt.
Gebruik geen agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen.
Controleer dagelijks, voor gebruik, of de remmen goed werken. Controleer
of de wielen draaien en gemakkelijk zwenken en of er geen opgehoopt vuil
bij de as zit. Controleer regelmatig of alle schroeven, bouten en moeren
goed vastzitten. Controleer bewegende onderdelen op slijtage.

aankoopdatum wat betreft fabricage- of materiaalfouten. Neem contact op

Daaruit voortvloeiende kosten, in het bijzonder vracht- en reiskosten, verlies
van inkomen, onkosten, etc. vallen buiten de garantie.
