Total vibration value and noise emission value
The specified total vibration value and the specified noise emission values have been measured
according to a standardized test method (EN 62841-1 / EN 62841-4-2) and can be used to compare
one power tool with another. They can also be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The vibration and noise emissions during the actual use of the power tool can deviate from the
specified values, depending on the way in which the power tool is used, in particular the type of
workpiece being machined.
It is necessary to establish safety measures to protect the operator based on an estimate of the
vibration exposure during actual use conditions (all parts of the operating cycle must be taken into
account, for example times when the power tool is switched off and those when it is switched on is,
but runs without load). Try to keep the exposure to vibrations and noise as low as possible. Exam-
ples of measures to reduce vibration exposure are wearing gloves when using the tool, limiting
working hours and using accessories that are in good condition.
Dispose of the old device
Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with systems for the separate
collection of recyclable materials.
Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste!
If the device can no longer be used, every consumer is legally obliged to separate old devices from
household waste, e.g. B. at a collection point in his community / district. This ensures that old
devices.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries are not household waste!
As a consumer, you are legally obliged to dispose of all batteries and accumulators, regardless of

Test
Risk of injury from sharp knives
• Use protective gloves. Before each use, check:
• The device for damage. - The controls for damage.
• The accessories are in perfect condition.
• That the ventilation slots are free and clean. Do not use a damaged device or accessory. Have it
checked and repaired by the manufacturer, his customer service or a similarly qualified person.
Cleaning
Risk of injury from sharp knives
• Use protective gloves. Risk of damage! Improper handling of the device can damage the device.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or brushes with metal or nylon bristles and no sharp or
metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas and the like. These can damage the surfaces.
Thoroughly clean the device and accessories after each use and allow all parts to dry. Keep guards,
air slots and motor unit as free of dust and dirt as possible.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove all plant residues with a hand brush or a brush.
3. Clean all smooth surfaces with a damp cloth.
4. Apply some smooth oil (e.g. sewing machine oil or graphite oil) to the cutting blades and let the
device run briefly to distribute the oil.
Storage
Risk of damage!
Improper storage of the device can lead to damage.
• Let the device cool down completely.
• Place the device so that it cannot fall into the water.
• Keep the device in a clean, dry, frost-free and inaccessible to children.
1. Remove the battery from the device.
2. Clean the device thoroughly (see chapter "Cleaning").
3. Store the battery at 50-80% of its capacity. If the storage time is longer than 6 months, check the
charge status after this time and recharge the battery if necessary.
4. Pull open the protective cover.
5. If necessary, disconnect the hedge trimmer head from the pipe.
6. If possible, pack the device in the original packaging.
7. Store the device in a place protected from sunlight and other heat sources.
8. Store the device and accessories at a temperature b10ºC and +30ºC.
Transport
When it is switched off, carry the device by the additional handle with the battery removed and the
sword facing away from your body. When the device is not in use, always pull open the protective
cover and lock all catches.
Secure the device against slipping when transporting it in a vehicle.
• Achieve the best cutting performance You, if the device is guided in such a way that the knife teeth
are directed at an angle of approx. 15º to the hedge.
• The side surfaces of a hedge are cut with arcuate movements from bottom to top.
• The double-sided, counter-rotating knives enable cutting in both directions.
Remove the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release button.
2. Pull the battery out of the battery holder. If the battery cannot be removed easily, the battery
release button was not pressed enough. Press the battery release button more firmly.
Insert the battery
1. To insert the battery, slide the battery into the battery holder. You will hear a "click" when the
battery lock engages.
2. Check that the battery is firmly seated. Switch device on / off risk of injury Hold the device until
the cutting knife comes to a standstill.
Risk of injury
Remove the scissor blade protection before each use and put it back on after use and in the event
of interruptions.
1.Remove the protective cover 7.
2. Push the release button 16 fully forward and then press the on/off switch 17. The release button
16 can be released after switching on.
3. To switch off, release the on/off switch 17. Stop the device and disconnect it from the power
supply (remove the battery): - before making any settings on the device - whenever you leave the
device - before removing blockages - before checking, cleaning or working on the device - after
contact with a foreign body to check the device for damage.
Working with the device
• Before starting work, check the work area for concealed electrical lines, wires or other objects
that could cause injuries or damage when using the device, and remove them.
• Before each start-up, check all screw and plug connections, especially the screws of the blades,
as well as all locks for tight fit and all moving parts for ease of movement.
• Before starting work, remove strong branches with a saw or loppers.
• Always hold the device firmly with both hands. One hand on the handle, the other on the additional
handle.
• Bring your body and arms in a position in which you can withstand the kickback forces.
Adjust the angle of inclination
In order to ensure an optimal working position, the hedge trimmer head 10 can be inclined in 15º
steps up to an angle of 135º.
1. Press the inclination angle lock 15 on both sides and set the desired inclination angle.
2. Make sure that the hedge trimmer head 10 is locked in one of the locking positions.
Turn the handle
To ensure an optimal working position, the handle 1 can be rotated 45º and 90º.
1. Press the locking button on the handle 11 and set the desired angle.
2. Make sure that the handle 1 is locked in one of the locking positions.
Insert/replace battery
The battery for the device is a system battery and must be purchased separately. Read the opera-
ting instructions for the battery before inserting it.
Risk of fire and explosion due to polarity reversal or short circuit
• Only use batteries that are suitable and approved by the manufacturer (see Technical data).
• Only use undamaged batteries.
Service
Use a shoulder strap
When using the device, always wear the carrying strap 5 in order to be able to work without getting
tired. In order to be able to open the carrying strap 5 quickly in the event of an accident, the carr-
ying strap is equipped with an accelerator 13.
1. Put the carrying strap 5 on so that it runs over your shoulder and crosses your chest and back.
2. Fasten the carrying strap 5 with the hook on the fastening eyelet 2.
3. Adjust the length of the belt so that the accelerator 13 is at hip height.
4. To adjust the belt position on the device change, loosen the Fastening screw and move the faste-
ning eyelet 2 on the tube 8. Then tighten the screw again.
Adjust telescopic tube
1. Open the
Locking telescopic tube 14.
2. Pull out the telescopic tube 6, as far as this is necessary for the working height, up to the limit
stop (78 cm).
3. Close the Locking telescopic tube 14.
If necessary, tighten the screw on the clamping device a little clockwise with the Allen key 3 in order
to achieve a sufficiently firm clamping of the telescopic tube 6.
Residual risks
Despite the intended use, residual risks that are not obvious cannot be completely ruled out. Due to
the type of device, the following hazards can occur: Damage to health resulting from vibration
emissions if the device is used over a long period of time or is not properly operated and maintai-
ned. Injury and property damage caused by moving knives or breaking tool attachments.
Montage
1. Place the protective cover 7 on the sword 9.
2. Plug the Hedge trimmer head 10 in the receptacle on the telescopic tube 6.
3. Pay attention to the correct one Positioning the Hedge trimmer head 10 to the handle. The hedge
trimmer head 10 and the Locking or Lock button 11 on the handle must point upwards. The two
arrows on The hedge trimmer head 10 and the pipe 8 must face each other.
4. Tighten the screw sleeve 12 clockwise to attach the hedge trimmer head 10 to the telescopic tube 6.
Mount and adjust additional handle

2. Place the additional handle 4
with an inclination in the direction of the hedge trimmer head 10 on the tube 8 and fix it with the
clamping plate.
3. Move the

Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not
use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as
dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions
will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power
source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on
the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power
tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands
of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking
into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for opera-
tions different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one
type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs
may create a risk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact acci-
dentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
2. SAFETY WARNINGS FOR OPERATIONS
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury
WARNING:
Risk of injury!
• Keep all parts of the body away from the blades. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be
cut when blades are moving. Blades continue to move after the switch is turned off. A moment of
inattention while operating the hedge trimmer may result in serious personal injury.
• Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the blades stopped and taking care not to operate any
power switch. Proper carrying of the hedge trimmer will decrease the risk of inadvertent starting
and resultant personal injury from the blades.
• When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer, always fit the blade cover. Proper handling of the
hedge trimmer will decrease the risk of personal injury from the blades.
• When clearing jammed material or servicing the unit, make sure all power switches are off and the
battery is removed. Unexpected actuation of the hedge trimmer while clearing jammed material or
servicing may result in serious personal injury.
• Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the blades may contact
hidden wiring or its own cord. Blades contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the
hedge trimmer "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
• Keep all power cords and cables away from cutting area. Power cords or cables may be hidden in
hedges or bushes and can be accidentally cut by the blade.
• Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather conditions, especially when there is a risk of light-
ning. This decreases the risk of being struck by lightning.
• To reduce the risk of electrocution, never use the extended-reach hedge trimmer near any electri-
cal power lines. Contact with or use near power lines may cause serious injury or electric shock
resulting in death.
• Always use two hands when operating the extended-reach hedge trimmer. Hold the exten-
ded-reach hedge trimmer with both hands to avoid loss of control.
• Always use head protection when operating the extended-reach hedge trimmer overhead. Falling
debris can result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:
Risk of damage
• Do not expose to rain. Do not cut wet grass.
• Improper handling of the POLE PRUNER & HEDGE TRIMMER can lead to damage to the POLE
PRUNER & HEDGE TRIMMER. Do not attempt to cut hard objects.
Battery pack and charger safety instructions
If under extreme conditions any electrolyte should escape from the battery, it's essential to avoid
contact with skin. If electrolyte does come into contact with your skin, rinse it off with water. In the
event of electrolyte contact with your eyes, it's essential to consult a doctor.
a) Before use of the charger and the battery pack, read the instruction manual for it carefully.
b) During the charge process, the current used should correspond to the current of the battery
charger.
c) Never let moisture, rain or splashed water reach the charging location.
The ambient temperature must not be less than 0ºC nor exceed 40ºC when charging. Do not use or
store drill or batteries in temperatures in excess of 49ºC.
d) Battery Packs which are defective or damaged, or can no longer be re-charged, must be dispo-
sed of as hazardous waste. Hand them over at a special collection point. Never harm our environ-
ment. Do not throw unusable battery packs away into the domestic waste, into fire or into water.
e) If the charger electrical cable is damaged, it may only be replaced by the supplier or by his repair
workshop. Have repairs carried out only by an authorized specialist only.
f) Use only battery packs which have been produced by the original manufacturer. Use only the
charger supplied with your drill.
g) Always keep the surface of the charger free from dust and dirt.
h) Insert the battery pack into the charger. Follow the guidelines provided concerning polarity.
i) Always remove battery pack before working on the drill.
j) When the battery pack is outside the drill, cover the contacts to avoid short circuits (e.g. from
tools or metal surfaces)
k) Do not throw battery packs into water or fire, risk of explosion!
l) Protect the battery pack from impacts, and don’t attempt to open it.
m) Never discharge the battery pack completely, and recharge occasionally if not used for a prolon-
ged period.
It is recommended that the charger is always supplied via a residual current device with a rated
current of 30mA or less.

1. GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS

be used for any purposes other than those described.
The term "power tool" in these warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols are used in these operating instructions, on the device or on the packaging.
Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to
lose control.
Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk
of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the
risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase
the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
