Operating Instructions:

Portable Patio Mini Post and Convenience Outlet are for 

temporary use and not for permanent installation.

 e Convenience outlet on this portable post has a GFCI 

(Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) safety outlet feature. In the 

event of a ground fault, the GFCI will trip and stop the fl ow 

of electricity to prevent serious injury.

To use outlet, lift outlet cover to plug in other working, 

outdoorrated devices, such as additional Portable Patio Mini 

Post lights or temporary devices such as portable radios. Allow 

the outlet cover to partially close over the plug, as shown in 

Diagram (A), to protect the outlet from the elements. Keep 

cover of Convenience outlet closed when not in use.

Portable mini post must be plugged in to an active outlet 

in order for the convenience outlet to operate.

If Mini Post light or appliances plugged into Convenience 

Outlet do not operate, see procedure for resetting and testing 

GFCI outlet.

Resetting and Testing Procedure:

(1) Make sure the Portable Patio Mini Post is plugged

into an active electrical outlet.

(2) Plug a radio, another light or other working outdoor rated

device into the (GFCI) Convenience Outlet.

(3) Press the RESET button fully. Turn power on for the

device that is plugged into convenience outlet to verify

that power is on.

(4) Press the TEST button in order to trip the safety device.

 is should stop the fl ow of electricity causing the

additional device to turn off . Note that the RESET

button will pop out.

(5) To restore power, Press the RESET button.

(6) Test the outlet monthly to assure proper and safe operation

by following steps 4 and 5.

Proper Care/Cleaning:

In order to maximize the appearance of a Prime Outdoor 

Fixture, it is important that dust and debris is removed from 

the surface of the lantern periodically. It is recommended that 

the lantern be wiped down weekly using a soft, dry or damp 

cloth. DO NOT use any abrasives such as glass cleaners or 

chemicals, as this will scratch, remove, or damage the protec-

tive coating, allowing moisture and pollutants to come in 

contact with the metal.

Estimated assembly time is 35 minutes.

Caution:

 is lamp is partially assembled in the factory by qualifi ed craftsman. Some assembly is required before use. Please 

follow the assembly instructions carefully.

WARNING!!

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR PERSONAL INJURY:

When using outdoor use portable lamps, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of 

fi re, electric shock, and personal injury, including the following.
• Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords that have three prong grounding plugs and grounding receptacles 

that accept the appliance’s plug.

• Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection should be provided on the circuit(s) or outlet(s) to be used 

for the wet location portable lamp. Receptacles are available having built-in GFCI protection and are able to be 

used for this measure of safety.

• Use only with an extension cord for outdoor use, such as an extension cord of cord type SW, SW-A, SOW, 

SOW-A, STW, STWA, STOW, STOW-A, SJW, SJW-A, SJOW, SJOW-A, SJTW, SJTWA, or SJTOW, SJTOW-

A.

• Turn off /unplug lamp and allow to cool before replacing bulb.

• Do not touch bulb when fi xture is turned on.

• Do not look directly at lighted bulb.

PORTABLE LANTERN SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATION USE.

CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK,

 Do not use with extension cord near water or where water may 

accumulate. Keep lamp at least 16 feet from pools and spas. Keep plugs and receptacles dry.

FOR USE ONLY ON GFCI PROTECTED CIRCUITS.

Assembly: (refer to Fig 1)

1.) Attach tube (C) to base (D)

2.) Attach tube (B) to tube (C)

3.) Attach fi xture head (A) to tube (B)

4.) Pull excess cord through bottom of base until tight.

Bulb Installation: (refer to Fig 2)

1.) Remove assembly screws on fi xture roof

and insert bulb. Reattach roof.

Use one 100 Watt Max Medium

Base Bulb. (Not Included.)

--CAUTION--

Be careful to align threads properly while

assembling. DO NOT CROSS-THREAD

Stop and unscrew if alignment begins to

appear “off “. Then begin assembly again.

If fi xture does not work:

1. Turn off  electrical power and check all wire connections.

2. Check fuse or circuit breaker and replace if necessary.

3. Check to make sure light bulb is in working order.

4. Ensure that dimmer switch is in the “on” position.
