cleaning needs. That’s why the LaSonic 

SafeWave has two different sonic cleaning 

cycles/settings.

To select the correct sonic cycle for 

cleaning each type of jewelry, use the 

easy-to-follow Jewelry Care Guide in this 

manual.

INSTRUCTIONS

Full Two-Year Warranty

1.   Connoisseurs warrants this unit to be free of defects 

in workmanship and materials for two years from 
date of purchase.

2.   If any malfunction occurs, do not use your jewelry 

cleaner. Connoisseurs will repair or replace it at 
no charge to you. Simply mail your jewelry cleaner 
postage paid to the address below with 

$10.00 U.S. 

($13,00 CAN)

 to cover handling costs. Be certain 

that your jewelry cleaner is wrapped carefully when 
mailing.

3.   Your warranty will be void if malfunction was caused 

by unreasonable use or was damaged while in 
your possession. To assure prompt service, please 
include a letter indicating the specific cause for 
returning the unit. Allow 4 weeks for servicing and 
mailing time. Upon the expiration of the warranty 
period, replacement or repair may be made, but 
additional charges will apply.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO A RISK OF FIRE,

ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS

WARNING

When using electric appliances, basic precautions should always be 

followed including the following:
Read all the instructions before using the appliance. 

To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not fill or empty this 

appliance with any liquid while unit is plugged in. Do not immerse 

unit in water or other liquid. Do not place or store appliance where 

it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not over fill or spill liquid 

on unit.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or 

after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any 

manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility 

for examination or repair. 

To disconnect, turn the dial to the OFF (

O

) position, then remove 

plug from outlet. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp 

the plug, not the cord. Unplug from outlet when not in use and 

before servicing or cleaning.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

Use only water based solutions. Do not use flammable or toxic liquids.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use outdoors. Do not modify 

or tamper with the appliance or controls.

To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when 

an appliance is used near children. All servicing of this product, 

including transducer replacement is to be conducted by qualified 

personnel.

Do not contact moving parts.

CAUTION: IRRITANT. MAY IRRITATE EYES Do not mix with acid 

cleaners. Do not get in eyes. Keep out of reach of children.

FIRST AID TREATMENT

 Contains non-ionic surfactants.   

If swallowed, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately.  

Do not induce vomiting. If in eyes, rinse with water for 15 min.

JEWELRY CLEANING CAUTIONS

ONLY use Connoisseurs concentrated or pre-mixed cleaning 

solutions. 

Do not use Silver Jewelry Cleaner in the appliance.

 

Before cleaning pearl strands: first test the strand for signs of aging, 

separation and strength. DO NOT clean in the sonic machine. Clean 

according to instructions in Delicate formula. Remove promptly and 

allow strand to dry thoroughly on a lint free cloth before wearing.
DO NOT use on glued-in stones, dyed stones, or items which should 

not be immersed in water. If you have any doubt whether the jewelry 

can be immersed, use a Connoisseurs Polishing Cloth instead.

DO NOT clean antique silver pieces in the LaSonic.

DO NOT mix different metals in the same cleaning solution.

INSTALLATION

 

CLOSELY EXAMINE ILLUSTRATIONS TO UNDERSTAND 

THESE INSTRUCTIONS FULLY.

To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this appliance has a polarized 

plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polar-

ized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, 

reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician 

to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. 

1.  Place appliance on a dry flat level surface near electrical outlet.
2.   Remove the lid from the LaSonic using the center handle. 
3.   Pour one of the following 

cleaning solutions

 into either tank: 

a) Dazzle Drops

®

 concentrate packet (included). Fill tank with 

warm water

 up to the Max Fill line.

 Add about 10 drops.

b) Connoisseurs LaSonic Jewelry Cleaner Concentrate (sold 

separately). Pour two (2) Tablespoons into chosen tank.  

Then fill tank with warm water

 up to the Max Fill line.

 

c) Connoisseurs ready-to-use Precious, Fine, or Delicate Cleaners  

(sold seperately). Pour in 

up to the Max Fill line.

  

No additional water needed. 

Do not use Connoisseurs 

Silver Jewelry Cleaner in the LaSonic.

4.   Fill the second tank with warm water only to the Max Fill line for 

rinsing. 

5.   Turn the dial to OFF (

O

), then plug the appliance into a standard 

110 volt outlet.

OPERATION

For household use only. 
1.   Review the “Important Safety Instructions” before operating this 

appliance.

2.   Place jewelry into the basket and slowly immerse into the 

cleaning tank. Turn the appliance on by turning the dial from the 

off position to the correct sonic cleaning speed (High 

II

 or Low 

I

as determined from the Jewelry Care Guide. Clean jewelry for 1-2 

minutes. One minute longer for extremely dirty jewelry. Use a soft 

bristled brush (not included) for trapped dirt particles. 

(Note - The Jewelry Holder accessory can be used to hang 

multiple rings, earrings, or long necklaces)

3.   Transfer the basket with the jewelry into the rinse tank and slowly 

 immerse. Turn the dial to the Rinse (

I

) power position and rinse 

for 1 minute. 

4.   To drip dry, lift basket out of rinse water and rest on center 

divider using the notch on bottom of basket.

5.   Finish drying with a lint-free cloth (not included). For an additional 

shining touch, use a Connoisseurs Polishing Cloth.

STORAGE

1.   Clean the appliance after use. Unplug the unit. Pour solutions 

into the sink from either end marked (POUR HERE) on unit.  

Rinse and dry the unit.

2.   When not in use, unplug and dry unit. Store appliance in a dry 

location.
