CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Your sprayer will give you many years of service if it is properly
maintained. You must clean the sprayer after every use. The thicker the
product the more the need for careful cleaning increases.

1.

After removing unused portion from the jar, rinse with water.

2.

Fill jar with water and reattach the head to the jar.

3.

Put dial on all settings you have used and flush each one with

    quick bursts of water.

4.

For each setting, flush for at least one minute per setting.

5.

Turn off water at the hose bib and remove sprayer from hose.

Remove head from jar and rinse thoroughly.

6.

Clean out water holes by carefully poking a straight pin or

bobby pin up through the bottom of the head with the dial set

on the hole you want to clean.

A small amount of time spent cleaning after each use will

ensure the many years of service your liquid sprayer is

designed to provide.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL SPRAYING

With your lawn and garden dealers’ help, select the right

sprayable product for the job at hand. Follow label

    instructions exactly.

•

Spray only during calm weather to prevent wind drift.

•

Always water thoroughly before and after spraying

    liquid fertilizers.

•

Spray trees and shrubs totally, including: branches, trunks

    and underside of leaves.

•

Spray until plant begins to drip.

•

Spray at first signs of conditions that you wish to control

    or correct.

•

Spray early or late in the day. Do not spray when hot weather

(over 85°F) is expected within 24 hours.
•  Do not spray pesticides to plants under moisture stress.

Water them the day before spraying.
•  When applying insecticides, fungicides and liquid fertilizers,

spray until plant is wet and just begins to drip. The drip

drenches leaves and grass and goes right on working.

•

The product manufacturer’s directions always will be the

    controlling factor.

•

Do not spray when rain is expected within 24 hours.

•

Turning the product knob to “

OFF

” turns your sprayer into

a handy watering tool. This is also a convenient way to rinse

product off of areas that you may not want treated.

USING THE SIX-GALLON SETTING

Your Liquid Sprayer has been equipped with a special six-gallon

spray setting. This setting is very useful for products with odd

mixture rates and for products that need to be diluted with water

before they are sprayed. Such products are soluble fertilizers,

thick liquids, wettable powders (fungicides) and fish emulsions.

Six-Gallon Filling Instructions

1.

Unscrew plastic jar from sprayer and place the jar on a

    flat surface.

2.

Pour in the amount per gallon of product that you want to

apply. Multiply the amount per gallon shown on the label times

the number of gallons you want to spray.

(See mixture example.)

3.

Fill the container with water to make the number of gallons of

    spray desired.

4.

Replace sprayer head on the jar and attach to your garden

hose with the swivel hose connector.

5.

Make sure the water control thumb switch is in the forward

    or

“OFF”

position and the product knob is in the center or

“OFF”

position. turn the water on to the garden hose.

6.

Rotate the control knob so that the indicator points to the six-

gallon setting. You are now ready to accurately spray a

    properly diluted solution.

MIXTURE EXAMPLE:

If the chemical product calls for 1 tbsp

per gallon and you want to spray 6 gallons of finished spray,

place 6 tbsp of product into the jar and fill with water to the

6 gallon mark on the side of the jar.

SPRAYING INSTRUCTIONS

1.

Select the desired Spray Pattern Setting on the front spray

nozzle by rotating the dial. The setting that you choose will

always be on the top or “12 o’clock” position.

Do not turn water on when adjusting the spray nozzle.

2.

Be sure the Product Control Knob is set at the measurement

    indicated by the product label.

3.

When you are ready to spray, hold the contoured handle in

either your right or left hand and slide the thumb switch back

    to the water

“ON”

position.

4.

You are now spraying a properly diluted solution. To stop

spraying, simply slide the thumb switch forward to the water

“OFF”

position. The valve will automatically snap in place and

    stop the flow application.

5.

When you have finished spraying concentrate products, pour

any unused product back into the original product container.

NOTE: Do not allow any water from the sprayer or hose to mix

with the concentrate as the “shelf life” of the product may

be reduced.

If you are using the six-gallon setting be careful

to measure out only enough product to cover the desired area.

Product mixed with water should not be poured back into the

container of concentrate.

6.

After spraying, clean your sprayer according to the cleaning

instructions on the back page of this pamphlet. Never leave

unused product in the jar for an extended period of time.
