computer room that need to talk
to each other, there’s no need for
a pair of expensive modems. One
Synchronous Modem Eliminator
does the work of two V.35 or X.21
modems.
The Modem Eliminators are
just as flexible as the modems
they replace. They support all the
necessary data, clocking, and
control signals, so you don’t have
to worry about compatibility.
Connect V.35 or X.21 equipment
without expensive modems.

SYNCHRONOUS MODEM ELIMINATORS
The two hosts can be as much
as 300 feet apart. If they don’t
have exactly the same
communication requirements,
that’s no problem. You can set
RTS/CTS delay, carrier control,
and clocking independently for
each port.
The plug-in model is easy to
install. You configure it once with
DIP switches, and then you just
plug it in. That’s really all there is
to it.
You don’t even need a power
supply for the plug-in model. It
takes its power from the interface.
The rack card version is
completely hot-swappable—you
don’t have to power down the
whole rack to install one card.
Finally, our Modem Eliminators
are worry-free. With a mean time
between failures of more than 12
years, our Modem Eliminators
may well outlive the equipment
they connect.
