Precautions on Installation

In order that the product can be used safely and properly, the contents of this Manual must be thoroughly read and understood.  Please keep the 
Manual readily available.

C-123L/A is a Chime Com open voice door answering intercom. 
It communicates with a door and activates door strike.

Components available

• C-123L/A set (C-ML/A master station & C-D door station)
• Power supply: PS-0602C, PS-0602D, PS-0603DIN or SKK-620 (in 

 USA).

FEATURES

• Open voice, press-to-talk communication

• 15-second timed call-in and communication
• Communication volume control

•  Do not make any wiring connections while the power supply is turned on. Electric shock or unit trouble could result.
•  Master station is for indoor and wall mounting only.  Do not use outdoors or on desk-top.
•  Sub station is for ourdoor use and weather-resistant.  But do not spray high-pressure water directly by hose, etc. 
•  Do not install the master station in any of the following locations, as it can cause the unit to trouble.

· High or extreme cold temperature area: under direct sunlight, near equipment that varies in temperature,
  in front of air conditioner, inside a refrigerated area, etc.
· Places subject to environmental conditions, such as oil, dust, chemicals, salt, etc.
· Places subject to moisture or humidity extremes (bathroom, cellar, greenhouse, etc.)

C-123L/A system is powered by either batteries or 6V DC power 
supply.  Never leave all the batteries loaded when a power supply is 
used.

• 

Power supply

The connecting terminals & battery compartment are located 
underneath the front case.  Push bottom of front case upward, 
and lift off the chassis.

• 

Opening front case

Run a separately jacketed cable for door release from 
communication.  Use Aiphone EL-12S door release or other 
manufacture's which must not exceed 50V AC, 1A.

• 

Connecting door release

• When the existing chime wires are used, it is possible to contain AC voltage.  Locate 

and disconnect AC transformer, as it can cause electric shock or damage to the unit.  
Ask qualified personnel to rectify it.

* AC-operated buzzer or chime may be determined by the fact that;
1. The batteries have never been replaced so far.
2. The marking on the device contains AC power source.

•  Do not connect any power source other than specified on the master station.  Fire or electric shock could result.
•  When loading batteries inside the unit, be sure to observe polarity.

Due to damage of the batteries and spilling, fire, injury and contamination to environments could result.

•  Mount the master station in a convenient location, but not where it could be bumped or jarred.
