DMT Modulation- Standard Compliance and Outstanding Performance
ZyXEL P-872H is a DMT(Discrete Multi-Tone)-based VDSL CPE. DMT modulation
dynamically adapts the bit rate to conditions on the local loop and offers excellent
performance even over noisy lines. This eliminates manual line testing and reduces
equipment adjustment to accommodate the noisy line condition. In addition, DMT is the
selected VDSL line -coding standard by the IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet in the First Mile(EFM)
Task Force and IEEE T1E1.4 Working Group .
150 Mbps Bandwidth Aggregated for Triple Play over Existing Copper Wires
With VDSL, telephone companies can offer triple play services (such as high-quality
digital video streams, high-speed Internet access, and voice services) over existing
cooper wiring. This allows them to offer the user experience similar to today’s other
existing distribution systems (cable, terrestrial, satellite). Thus VDSL gives telephone
companies the competitive edge while generating revenue with a minimal amount of
installation time and expense.
Co-existence with Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS), ISDN and Digital Phones
VDSL can be deployed quickly, even if there is only one phone line per tenant.
You can
still keep existing POTS or ISDN services while adding new VDSL services.
QoS for Multiple Services Ensured
The bandwidth control feature with different class of services on the P-872H guarantees
QoS based on multicast priority, 802.1p, TOS and DSCP.
