Hardware Connections
To set up your NXC5200’s hardware connections:
1. Connect the NXC5200 to the device that manages your connection to
the network ( A ) using an RJ-45 cable. If you intend for a high number
of wireless clients to connect to the NXC5200, you may want to also
use a DHCP server to issue IP addresses (
B ) and an authentication
server ( C ) to handle login requests.
2. Connect a Power over Ethernet (PoE) device to one of the
NXC5200’s Ethernet ports using a standard 8-wire RJ-45 cable.
(Consult the documentation that came with the PoE device for
information on how to set it up and configure it.)
