Shares
16.1 Overview
A share is a set of access permissions mapped to a specific folder on a volume. It is equivalent to
the Windows concept of a shared folder. You can map a share to a network drive for easy and
familiar file transfer for Windows users.
16.2 What You Can Do
• Use the Shares screen (
) to navigate a list of shares created on the
NSA.
• Use the Add Shares screen (
) to create additional shares on the
NSA.
• Use the Recycle Bin screen (
) to configure and clean up the recycle
bins.
• Use the Edit Share screen (
) to edit a share’s properties.
• Use the Share Browser screen (
) to navigate, add and edit the
contents in a share.
16.3 The Shares Screen
Click Sharing > Shares in the navigation panel to open the following screen. This screen lists all
shares created on the NSA.
