ip6 Commands
Here is how to use the
ip6
commands to configure the IP (Internet Protocol) version 6 parameters.
Note: The ip6 commands are for management purposes, rather than for user traffic.
26.1 ip6 Commands Summary
The following table lists the

commands. The P column on the right indicates the administrator
privilege level needed to use the command.

Displays the default management interface. 1

Pings a host (default 3 times)
count
: number of pings.
size
: size of each ping packet in bytes.

Sets the management IP address, prefix, and
in-band management VLAN ID.
prefix
: Optional prefix length 1 ~ 128 for a
static IPv6 address.
inband-vid
: The VLAN ID for this interface.
Note: Misconfiguring the management IP
address or VLAN ID may lock yourself
out from managing the device.
Note: It is highly recommended that you use the
sys reboot < seconds >
command
before using any commands that may
lock you out from managing the device.
Use the
sys reboot cancel
command to cancel the scheduled
reboot before time is up when you are
sure that you have the correct
configuration.

Displays the IP addresses of the in-band and
out-of-band management interfaces and the
default gateway, as well as the in-band
management VLAN ID. 1
