Fan Control Module (FCE)

Function

The fan control module

FCE

provides the following functions:

�

Rotation control and monitoring of five fans

�

Provision of one 485 serial port to communicate with BBU

�

Five dry contact interfaces among which one for door control
monitoring, two for power lightning monitoring and two for PSU
alarm monitoring

�

Four temperature sensor interfaces among which one for BBU
upwind direction temperature detection, one for BBU downwind
direction temperature detection, one for RSU temperature de-
tection and one for temperature detection of the inlet under
the heat exchanger

�

One heater control output

�

One 232 serial port.

Principle

The FCE module comprises fan detection control unit, main control
unit, BBU interface unit, environment monitoring unit and power
interface unit.

Figure 89
