The battery capacity is shown with three segments in the battery symbol in the radio
display.
Three segments = Fully charged battery.
When the battery capacity falls below approx.
10 %, the indicator lamp (5) will give a yellow blinking. When it gives a red blinking, the
battery is discharged. You must then either start a new charging, or change the battery as
soon as possible.
¢
Charging
The Zodiac Team Pro+ has an automatic rapid charger. This charger has slots for both the
radio with attached battery, and a spare battery. The charging of a discharged battery will
take approx. 2 hours. During charging the indicator lamp will light for the respective charger
slot:
Red = Quick charging.
Green = Fully charged battery and trickle chargingactivated.
Yellow = Spare battery slot. Waiting for the charging activated to be finished. It automati
-
cally enters quick charge mode when the front battery is fully charged.
Red blinking lamp = Error indication.
Note! It is normal that the battery gets a little hot during quick charging.
A new battery or a battery not being used for some months gets its full capacity after
3-4 charge/discharge cycles. You can charge batteries that are only having half capacity.
Modern battery types of the Li-Ion (Lithium ion) type does not need to be fully discharged
before they are recharged. With the 12V cable for the lighter outlet (Part no.47232) you can
charge the batteries from 12V in the car, boat etc.
¢
Antenna
If you will move around large areas or in hilly terrain, it can be useful to bring a longer
antenna in your backpack (Part no. 47118). Often the standard antenna is sufficient, so you
should try that one first.
¢
Headset / Speaker mike
If you do not want to pick up the radio each time you shall speak, you can attach a
headset (Part no. 47230) or speaker mike (Part no. 47220). You will then keep the radio in
your pocket / belt, and use the PTT on the headset / speaker mike for transmission.
¢
Ear Protector
If you use an ear protector, you can attach this to your hunting radio. You will then need a
radio cable. Various types are available.
