IMPLANT PREASSEMBLY
STEP 1A
Preassemble the Implant
•
The
Universal Clamp implant
is partially assembled
by passing the malleable leader of the band through
the slot in the upper jaw, which is identified by the
etched arrow, then through the slot in the lower jaw.
STEP 1B
•
The band is gently pulled through the slots
until reaching the end of the band with two
metallic buckles.
Note:
Titanium alloy and stainless steel Universal
Clamp implants must not be in contact with any
osteosynthesis devices made of non-compatible
materials. Mixing metals, such as titanium and
stainless steel, can cause corrosion.
