Introduction

USB Port Connection

To connect the ZGP323 ICE to your PC using a USB port, load the appro-
priate driver from the ZDS II installation directory or CD-ROM provided 
with your emulator. ZDS II software is available for download from 

 

www.zilog.com

. The procedure of loading the appropriate driver, depends 

on your Windows OS version and is explained below: 

Windows XP

Follow the steps below to connect the ZGP323 ICE to a host PC using 
USB Connection for Windows XP OS version:

1. Connect the ZGP323 ICE to the host PC using the supplied USB 

cable, see 

Figure 10

 for ZGP323 ICE rear panel connection.

Ensure the target board is not powered ON.

2. Connect a 5 V DC power supply to the ZGP323 ICE. The 3.3 V DC 

and 1.8 V DC power LEDs should illuminate, see 

Figure 5

 on page 8.
