SECTION 4A - SYSTEM PROGRAMMING
Key up delay time (x 0.1 sec)
■ PTT delay: initial setting is "10" = 1 . 0 seconds ■
This value sets the length of the delay from the closure of the
Transmit/PTT relay until the start of data transmission. Multiply the
desired time in seconds by 10 to find the value to input. Example: for
a key up delay time of 1.0 seconds, enter 10.
Remote Ctl HLGT link delays (0-7, 0=disabled)
■ Remote control enable/disable, HLGT duration: initial setting is
"0" = disabled ■
This value enables the remote control, which requires the remote
control option, and sets the duration for the HLGT. Set to the number
of links used for your system. A setting of 1 will give 120 ms of
HLGT. Each consecutively higher number will give an additional 300 ms
of HLGT, i.e., 1=120 ms, 2=420 ms, 3=720 ms, etc.
Transmitter inhibit
■ Relay inhibit flag: initial setting is "No" ■
Choose "Yes" to prevent the PTT relay from operating during a
Transmission. This may be used when testing operation of the Model 16
without disconnecting an operational transmitter. The front panel
"Transmit" light will still light and the Request to Transmit output
will still operate even if Transmitter inhibit is selected.
Passwords (P)
It is VERY IMPORTANT to write down the passwords whenever they are
changed so that they will not be forgotten. In the event that the
Access code is changed and forgotten, it will be necessary to contact
Zetron.
As each parameter is programmed the current setting is displayed.
Press CR to keep the current setting, or input a new one.
Security code
■ Paging access password: initial setting is "Disabled" ■
The Security code is a four character password required before
entering a paging mode. It can be disabled if it is not needed.
Access code
■ Programming access password: initial setting is "ABCD" ■
The Access code is a four character password required before entering
Programming mode. The current Access code is displayed followed by a
question mark. Enter any four characters to store a new Access code.
If fewer than four characters are entered the Access code will not be
changed. The Access code may not be disabled.
Configuration (G)
This selection gives a brief display of the software version number
and the options that are installed in the terminal. Please use this
software version number when calling the factory with service
questions.
