1) Audio Source for Soft Xmit Keys
The menu shown in Figure D-49 allows you to specify the transmit audio source
(Microphone) when a “soft” transmit key is activated. Refer to Table 4-2 in Section 4 of this
manual for a description on microphone steering.
A “soft” transmit key is defined as a programmable panel key or spare input which has been
defined as a transmit key.

This selection causes the Dynamic (“D” Mic) to always be the source of audio on soft
key transmit. The “D” Mic is the Gooseneck or Desk mic as defined by selection “D.
Dynamic Mic selection” from the MISCELLANEOUS menu (Figure D-48).

key transmit. The “E” Mic is the handset or headset mic.
