iDEN Control Operations
This subsection describes sending and receiving calls using the iDEN interface of
IntegratorRD.
Receiving a Call
When receiving a call, the channel box shows “
Receive
..”, and indicate the radio ID
making the call; the “
CALL
” indication is activated. This indication shows the user that a
received call is active. The calling unit radio ID (or alias, if enabled) is shown in the
channel box during the call (see
). The current call mode (GRP or PVT) is shown
in the channel box. The call mode has no effect during the receipt of a call.
Figure 21: Channel Box During Receipt of a Call
When the call is received, it is entered into the Call History Window with the channel,
radio ID, status, and time of the reception. The status is either “
NDC Privat
” for a
private call, or “
Group
” for a group call. If Radio ID aliasing is enabled, then the alias
string (up to 10 characters) is shown in place of the Radio ID. The ID alias table is
preconfigured using the RDPS (Radio Dispatch Programming System) program.
When receiving a call from an out of range NDC (Nationwide Direct Connect) ID, the call
is logged in the Call History window but the channel icon displays “OOR UFMI” (Out Of
Range Universal Fleet Member Identifier) instead of the ID value.
