Button Functions
Volume Reset (VOL RST)
This button causes the volume on all channels to be reset to the default level set by CPS.
This button does not affect channel volume on other positions.
EDACS System Functions
Group Up
Pressing this key causes the current group setting of the EDACS radio connected to the
selected channel to change to the next group on the radio's internally programmed group
list. Pressing this key is functionally equivalent to pressing the Group Up Ramp Switch on
the EDACS radio. This key is also used to change settings once in the MENU, SPCL
CALL, STATUS, or MESSAGE selection displays.
Group Down
Pressing this key causes the current group setting of the EDACS radio connected to the
selected channel to change to the previous group on the radio's internally programmed
group list. Pressing this key is functionally equivalent to pressing the Group Down Ramp
Switch on the EDACS radio. This key is also used to change settings once in the MENU,
SPCL CALL, STATUS, or MESSAGE selection displays.
System
Pressing this key initially causes the current system setting to be displayed. Subsequent
presses (before a 1-second timeout period) increment the system setting to the next system

Do not change the group or system during emergency
reception. Specifically this means do not press the Group Up,
Group Down, or System buttons during emergency reception.
It is safe to use these buttons again only after Clear Alert is
pressed. Changing the group or system before or at the same
time a Clear Alert is pressed will cause Orion EDACS radios to
lock up, requiring a reset at the radio.
