RECORD TO A CD-R/CD-RW
•
Switch the power on and insert a non-finalized CD-R or CD-RW disc onto the tray
and wait for the “BUSY” text to disappear.
•
Select means of recording: PHONE, AUX or TAPE (you cannot record CD or radio).
•
Press the auto/manual button to select to space tracks “automatically” or “manually”.
For example, if you are recording a music tape with clear track division, it’s best to
select “auto”, but if you are recording a classical tape, select “manual” and you can
divide tracks manually by pressing the “track increment” button at the end of each
song. Please note that manual mode is indicated by three lines --- on the display.
•
When selecting automatic track spacing, scroll through the decibels to select a
suitable sensitivity level:
-20dB
-30dB
-40dB
•
When the sound drops below the value you have chosen (-20db, -30db or –40db) a
new track will be assigned.
•
Press record, and REC
ll
will appear on the display, then press play/pause to begin
recording. Normally the recording level should be set to ‘0’, but if the sound exceeds
‘OVER’ on the LCD display, adjust the recording level using the REC level dial.
Please note the green recording meter usually moves back and forth. When it
reaches to the ‘OVER’ position, it becomes red and the recording quality will
become poor and the recorded tracks distorted. So you’ll need to lower the
recording level.
•
When you wish to stop recording, press the stop button.
•
To listen to the recorded CD back, press the “CD” button and press play and if
necessary adjust the volume dial.
