OXYGEN SENSOR

Sensor Locations:

 

 
The NA428 oxygen sensor is located at the outlet of the exhaust 
manifold. 
 
The NA857 oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe. 
 
Snug the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe bolts when replacing the 
oxygen sensor, but do not overtighten!   
 
Check for exhaust leaks by feeling for escaping air about 2-3 inches from 
the exhaust pipe while the engine is running at light load.  Stop the 
engine and fix any leaks that are found.
