Connections, establishing
Connecting the S100 floor stand
• Ensure that the rated voltage indicated in the display window (3) (only
for halogen / xenon) corresponds with the rated voltage for the network
at the site of the installation.
• Ensure that the unit has been switched off at the power switch before
plugging in or unplugging connectors at the power input socket (4).
• Make sure that the power switch (1) is OFF.
• Plug the power cord which is supplied with the supply unit into the power
inlet socket (4).
• Connect the power cord via a socket to the power supply system.
CAUTION Risk of electric shock caused by unapproved or defective accessories!
Unapproved or defective accessories can cause increased leakage current!
• Do not touch any video outputs or other signal interfaces while you
are in contact with the patient.
• When configuring your system, comply with the requirements of
IEC 60601-1, chapter 16; in some countries IEC 60601-1-1 is still valid.
• Comply with the Medical Device Operator Ordinance or other national
laws.
WARNING Danger! Electrical voltage!
• To avoid the risk of electrical shock, this device may only be connected
to a power supply network which is provided with a protective ground
conductor.
NOTE Tripping hazard!
Inappropriately laid cables present an increased risk of tripping.
• Always route cables in such a manner that they do not obstruct you in
your work.
