Design
The OPMI
®
VARIO surgical microscope comprises the following mod-
ules:

Coupling
for mounting the surgical microscope on the suspension system.

Support arm for surgical microscope

Balancing system including magnetic brakes
This system allows balancing of the surgical microscope. When the
magnetic brakes are released the surgical microscope can be posi-
tioned almost effortlessly.

Handgrips
for moving the surgical microscope. The buttons on the handgrips per-
mit you to control major microscope functions such as releasing/lock-
ing the magnetic brakes, focusing, zoom setting.

Microscope body
The apochromatic optics of the microscope provide superb optical
quality. The microscope image displays optimum contrast and excel-
lent detail recognition along with a large depth of field. The 1:6 ratio
zoom system allows the magnification of the overall system to be set
as required by the surgical procedure.
