Changing the Filter Modules BiG.2
You can remove and replace filter modules by push and click.
When opening the filter insert, the safety control will switch off the laser light.
To exchange the filter module of the BiG.2 proceed as follows:
•
Loosen the two knurled screws (Fig. 17/
2
).
•
Remove the filter insert (Fig. 17/

) of the BiG.2 (Fig. 17/

) and put it down.
How to uninstall a module:
•
Disengage the filter module (Fig. 18/

) from the upper spring elements (Fig. 18/
2
) of the filter insert

) by tilting it forward, then lift it off the lower spring elements (Fig. 18/
1
) and remove the
module.
How to install a module:
•
Insert the filter module (Fig. 18/
4
) with the aid of its mounting elements on its left and right (

into the lower spring clips (

) on the filter insert.
•
Press the filter module against the upper spring clips (

) until it engages firmly.
•
After exchanging the filter module, replace the filter insert (Fig. 17/

) into the BiG.2 (Fig. 17/
1
).
•
Fasten the two knurled screws (Fig. 17/

).

Changing the filter module
Once the NDD modules are connected and the filters are placed in front of the detectors, use the
Filters
tool in the
Maintain
tab to indicate the filters to the software. See section See section
5.5 Maintain Tab
in CHAPTER 1: SYSTEM OPERATION. The shorter emission wavelength is registered by channel 1
(BiG Ch1) and the longer wavelength is registered by channel 2 (BiG Ch2).
